Wilderness Father/Son Camp

Spend some quality time together hiking through the backwoods of Albert County.
Welcome to this Father/Son Wilderness Camp. What started as a Wilderness Camp for Teenage Boys 36 years ago, in 1995 was changed into a Father/Son Wilderness Camp. Over the years as a Father/Son Wilderness camp, this camp has seen an increased interest.
Our meeting place on Friday night will be at First Hillsborough Baptist Church, Main St. Hillsborough at 6pm.
The hike will take place in Albert County and you may visit such places as the Caverns, Hopewell Cape Rocks, Memel Falls, Sawmill Creek, Stanyard Lake and Underground Lake. Besides hiking, you will be given qualified instructions in canoeing, outdoor cooking, backpacking, map and compass survival, tree identification and several other wilderness skills.
What to Bring
- Sleeping Bag
- Wash kit
- Air Mattress (Optional-should be light)
- Toothbrush
- Knife, fork, spoon (preferably unbreakable)
- Soap, towel, face cloth, comb
- Bathing Suit
- Tent ? Small and light
- Hat or ball cap
- Tent fly if possible
- Socks, extra underwear
- Fly dope, flashlight
- T-shirts, long sleeve shirt
- Sunscreen, sweater
- Hiking boots or sneakers
- Pants, shorts, jacket
- $5.00 tuck money
We look forward to seeing you on Friday at First Hillsborough Baptist Church. This year your camps chiefs will be Norman Woodworth and Cliff Steeves. As we mentioned above, this is the 36th year of the Wilderness Camp and were looking forward to 3 great days.
Note: Camp will supply the devotional material.

Serveis Camp Wildwood’s Junior Leadership Program which focuses on service, leadership and skill development in the camp setting. Form lifelong friendships, learn valuable ministry skills and stretch your spiritual life. This week allows young teens to spend more time at camp learning what it means to be a part of a team. This program is especially suit- ed for the young person interested in pursuing CW leadership in the future. Develop skills in leadership that will be valuable for the rest of your life and what better place to get this train- ing than Camp Wildwood, summers most exciting place!
